Koora-Middi Program

Our flagship education program Suitable for Years 2 - 12  and professional development for all ages


Indigenous History, Dreamtime Stories and Bush Tools  Excursion
90 minute (allow 2 hours) bush walk and talk at Point Walter Reserve

Meet Point: The base of the Point Walter Sandbar, Honour Avenue in Bicton

Koora means “In the beginning”                    
Middi means“the medium”                                                            

Programs are structured for different age groups.

Teacher consultation as to content covered is welcome.

  • Learn about the local Wadjuk People and the important Dreaming trail that is the Swan River — students will develop a greater understanding of the connection between Indigenous people and the land and waterways they care for.

  • Discover the traditional names of various places, plants, birds and animals relevant to the local area.

  • See various bush tools and implements and learn how they were made during our hands-on artefact presentation.

  • Listen to the ancient Dreamtime story of the Nyoongar people and its relevance to Blackwall Reach and the Point Walter Sandbar

  • Discover our ancient totemic and marriage system to keep genetics pure 

The fee is $15per student with a minimum charge of $660 per session.  The cost for staff/professional development is $50 per person with a minimum charge of $1200 

We can cater for up to 60 students or 40 staff per 90 minute(allow 2 hours) program.

Indigenous Tours WA Education - Koora Middi Incursion


Suitable  for any  age from early Learning to Teriary

We can bring the great outdoors to your classroom

60 minute sessions in class at your Primary School, High School, Office or Tertiary Facility

15-30 minute sessions available for Early Learning or Daycare facilities

If your school has any local bush/plants on site, we can take a bush walk on your grounds to discover some interesting ancient bush foods and medicine utilised by the First Australians.

Dreamtime stories, bush tools, cultural knowledge and so much more

Working with Children Check and $20m Public Liability Certificate of Currency available on request.

Options available for any type of education institution at any age including professional development and cultural training for teachers and staff

Pricing starts at $550 inclusive of GST
