We have exclusive access to a privately owned piece of bushland paradise south of Yarragin Rock (North Kununoppin) — our base camp for the Journey on Country. Nyoongar people have acquired a vast knowledge of Country over thousands of years, and through these programs we share that knowledge: traditional land management, bush tucker, medicines, tools, shelter, fire-making and water sources.
This exclusive adventure is designed for those seeking an authentic, immersive experience. Limited spots ensure an intimate journey that fosters genuine connections with fellow adventurers, the land, and ancient culture.

Stargazing & Aboriginal Astronomy
Far from city lights, the Wheatbelt offers a pristine canvas for constellations, planets and sky phenomena. Our expert guides explore ancient Aboriginal astronomy — the knowledge of navigation, weather patterns and seasonal changes that guided our people for thousands of years.
Bush Camping Under the Stars
Set up camp at Yarragin Private Retreat. Immerse yourself in the tranquillity of the Australian bush and spend a night under a canvas of stars. Comfortable stretcher tents are available on site — just bring a sleeping bag and pillow.
Walk with an Elder on Country
Wake at dawn and walk across ancient earth. Your Elder guide leads you past granite formations and message trees with stories told through generations. Learn how song-lines trace across Country, and hear the names of this place in language.
Bush Tucker, Tools & Medicine
Discover traditional land management and explore knowledge about bush tucker, bush medicines, tools, weapons, shelter, fire-making and water sources — wisdom acquired over thousands of years on this Country.
Dreaming Stories & Waterholes
Walk through gullies and across creek beds. Learn how waterholes sustained life for generations and feature in Dreaming stories. Experience our ancient message trees which hold messages from our Ancestors about this special place.

A scenic 3-hour drive east of Perth. Search Yarragin Private Retreat on Google Maps.
🏕️ Camp & Facilities
Site toilets on-site. BBQs and campfire cooking facilities provided.
Sleeping: Bring your own swag or tent, or borrow one of our comfortable stretcher tents. Just bring a sleeping bag and pillow.
What to wear: Comfortable clothing and shoes suited to the environment and weather. We visit several cultural sites on each journey.
